Purpose
Teen Challenge (Singapore)
is dedicated to helping teenage and adult substance
abusers, juvenile delinquents, teenage gang members, and
youth at risk.
About
Us
Teen Challenge (Singapore)
began its work in 1976 when there was a rise in drug abuse
among Singapore youths. As a non-profit volunteer welfare
organization, we are registered with the National Council
of Social Services (NCSS). Our work have been recognized
and supported by several governmental ministries and
agencies.
The
Birth of Teen Challenge Worldwide
In 1958, the first Teen
Challenge centre was founded by Rev. David Wilkerson at
New York City. The centre targetted at helping youths who
want a life away from gangs and drugs. Teen Challenge has
since grown to a worldwide operation with over 300
centres in 60 countries. Teen Challenge is one of the
most successful drug rehabilitation organizations in the
world.
